The Mixtape Project:

If you are reading this then chances are that you stumbled upon one of my sloppily labeled burned CDs. I burn the disks and give them to friends if they want a playlist. Very rudimentary, very easy to do.

The purpose of this blog is to give song names and artists on mixtape CDs that people choose to put out.

I personally make CDs because I don't enjoy hearing the same songs on radio over and over and over, and then two more times on the next radio station.

Why CDs? Because unlike plugging in an ipod, CDs can be easily given from person to person, thus being by far the most direct way to give someone a song.

Simple enough right?

Best mixtape of the year goes to...

Mac Miller - KIDS (Kicking Incredibly Dope Shit)

This is one of the best mixes to come from a new rapper in awhile. I don't have a download link now, but I will soon. This is a must listen to, if you haven't already

The Rain - Chris Webby

Here's one of my favorite songs off Chris Webbys newest mix tape, Best in the Burbs. More of a laid back song, not as corny as some of his other songs. Not that there's anything wrong with Webby style corniness though.

You can download all of his mixtapes for free at datpiff.com

Macklemore x Ryan Lewis - Wings

This is another dope Macklemore song, about how we are raised to be consumers, and rely on our material items to define us. As always with a Macklemore song, its got that personal feeling to it, where it feels real, not like most of the rap out on the radio nowadays.

Macklemore - My Oh My

This is a song in memory of Dave Niehaus, the long time announcer for the Seattle Mariners. I really like this song, because it really encompasses the feeling of what baseball means to many people, and the memories it creates.
